Biography
Leah Schreiber is a visual artist living and teaching in Milwaukee. Schreiber received her Bachelor of Fine Art, as well as multiple awards including the MJ Scholarship/Grant while attending Illinois State University (1997-2002). She was the visual art presenter at the 2002 Women’s Studies Symposium in Normal, IL and has also received a Marshall Frankel Foundation Fellowship (2002). She was a resident at The Contemporary Artist Center in North Adams, Massachusetts (2006) and recently the Artist-In-Residence at the American Geographical Society Library (September 2008-January 2009). Her active exhibition record includes shows in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Alaska, Pennsylvania, and Vermont including the recent National Wet Paint Exhibition in Chicago, IL. Leah Schreiber received her Master of Art (2009), and is also completing her Master of Fine Art (2010) at The Peck School of Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she is currently teaching in the Department of Visual Art.
