Leah Schreiber

Biography

Leah Schreiber received her Bachelor of Fine Art, as well as multiple awards including the MJ Scholarship/Grant while attending Illinois State University from 1997-2002. Her work, invested in her relationship with feminism, gained attention from the ISU Women's Studies Department, resulting in Schreiber's participation as a presenter at the 2002 Women's Studies Symposium. She has also received a Marshall Frankel Foundation Fellowship, and was recently a resident at The Contemporary Artist Center in North Adams, Massachusetts. From 2002-2007, Schreiber worked as the Technical Director of the Children's Program and as an instructor at Lillstreet Art Center in Chicago. In addition to her work at Lillstreet, she was an Artist-Teacher at The Marwen Foundation and has been a guest artist in multiple Chicago Public Schools. She also holds an active exhibition record including shows in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, and Vermont.

Currently residing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Leah Schreiber attends The University of Wisconsin, working toward her MFA in Painting.
